Exact analysis and operation using high-tech equipment and 3D CT Scan
At DA Plastic Surgery, we use 3D CT Scan to analyze the present nose shape, structure, cartilage deformation, implant condition and etc., to analyze in detail to perform exact nose revision surgery.

When should I receive nose revision surgery?
It is recommended to get revision after the overall tissue of the nose is settled.
Usually 6 months after the previous surgery is recommended.
If the implant is crooked, or if there is an infection,
or if the skin around nasal tip or dorsum is red due to
extreme thinning of the skin, revision should be done immediately.
CASE 01Pinched Nose
Cause
Tightly tying the nasal tip cartilage during surgery, or if the nasal tip cartilage was deviated and the skin on the nasal tip was pinched.
Correction
Making the nose tip smoother using nasal tip cartilage
CASE 02Deviated nostril shape
Cause
Weakness of nasal tip cartilage or if the previous surgery did not re-align the cartilage properly which caused the nostril to be twisted and deformed, and causing the nasal bridge to twist and cause asymmetrical nostril.
Correction
Reshaping the nasal tip cartilage
CASE 03Deviated Nose
Cause
Implant is leaned on one side of the nose or if the nasal bridge shape does not match the nasal tip
Correction
Making the space for implant insertion and correcting it when the implant is in place. But if the nose is deviated originally (not from the previous surgery), it must be corrected by additional deviated nose surgery.
CASE 04Moving implant
Cause
If the implant was not inserted in the space between the bone and the periosteum and was inserted right below the skin, the implant can move or can be seen through the skin.
Correction
Inserting the implant below periosteum can correct this case
CASE 05If the cartilage or implant is noticeable through thinned skin
Cause
The skin gets thinned if the nasal bridge is elevated too much
Correction
If it is neglected, the skin can get thinner and in serious cases, it create a hole, so revision should be done ASAP. It is safe to reinforce skin with artificial skin or muscle and recreate the nasal tip with only autologous tissue
CASE 06Upturned nose due to skin shrinkage
Cause
The nose may become upturned if there was an infection after surgery or if the epithelium around the implant and the scar tissue inside the nose adhered with each other
Correction
Recreating the space for implant, then adjusting the position of the implant can correct this problem. If the nose was originally crooked even before the surgery, it should be corrected with a rhinoplasty for deviated nose.
DA Nose Surgery selects the best implant to perform safe and effective surgery
01Ear CartilageEar cartilage is the best implant that can be easily collected and gives natural nasal tip shape. To prevent ear shape deformation, collecting the cartilage from the inside of the ear will result in minimal scarring that cannot be seen from the outside.
02Nasal septumThe nasal septum is the wall between the nostrils that separates the two nasal passages and supports the nose and is a good implant to use during nose length extension.Nasal septum can be collected from the nostrils so additional incision isn’t necessary.
03Rib CartilageLess chance of infection and can collect large amounts, so its useful for nasal tip and nasal bridge correction.Used in cases of enlarging the nose more than 7mm, need revision between the two nasal passage, and in revision surgery.
04AllodermIt’s called artificial skin as it removed chemical substances that may cause immune rejection and is prone to infection and create smooth skin.It can protect the skin and used on nasal tips to make the skin thicker and smoother.
