DA Plastic Surgery Anesthesia Process

Da Plastic Surgery’s Safe Anesthesia System for safe operation

What is DA’s Safe anesthesia?

Anesthesia is a medical technique to put patients into unconsciousness for certain amount of time using drugs to relieve them of pain during surgery or perform exams that require the patient to be motionless.

Process01. DA’s Pre-Op Exams

Process01. DA’s Pre-Op Exams

Plastic surgery is equivalent to general surgery and anesthesia is performed, so it is necessary to check if the patient can endure anesthesia and surgery by checking their past medical history and perform pre-op examination to decide on the anesthesia method and dosage.

DA’s Pre-Op Exam Lists

Consultation and Diagnosis l Hemoglobin, Red and White Blood Cell Count, Platelet l Blood Coagulation Test l ECG Chest X-ray l Inbody Measurement (Height, Weight, BMI) l 3D-CT Scan l Ultrasound

Process02. Administering Anesthesia

Process02. Administering Anesthesia

Anesthesiologist perform comprehensive pre-op exams to monitor the patient’s condition and administer proper dose of anesthesia, and monitor the patient’s breathing and pulse during surgery.

  • Types of Anesthesia 01 General Anesthesia General anesthesia is an anesthesia method that maintains the whole body motionless with no consciousness, feeling, movement or reflexes. General anesthesia method is divided into gas inhalation and intravenous anesthesia. It’s usually administered during facial contouring surgery, double jaw surgery and breast surgery.
  • Types of Anesthesia 02 Sedative Anesthesia(Sedation) Sedative anesthesia is an anesthesia method that induces suitable drugs to put the patient to sleep and the patient maintains some level of consciousness so if spoken to or slightly touched, the patient can re-gain consciousness. It’s usually administered in surgeries that doesn’t involve osteotomy such as rhinoplasty, fat grafting, thermage, ulthera treatments.
  • Types of Anesthesia 03 Local Anesthesia Local anesthesia is an anesthesia method that involves injecting anesthetic drug to the nerves of certain body parts and shut off the nerve connection. Unlike general anesthesia, patients can breathe by themselves, so specific anesthesia equipment are not necessary. Local anesthesia is usually induced during eye surgery, lip surgery and petit surgery.
  • Types of Anesthesia 04 Painless Anesthesia Painless anesthesia is a form of assistance anesthesia to local anesthesia. It’s a safe anesthesia, that can be used on children and it is used to lessen the pain during local anesthesia.

Process03. Anesthesia Recovery

Process03. Anesthesia Recovery

The patient needs to rest fully after anesthesia as the patient’s heart and lung functions are unstable. Anesthesiologists and the designated surgeon monitor the patient’s nervous system and respiratory system until the patients return to consciousness normally and safely.

Anesthesia Recovery TIP

For those who have a hard time after recovering from anesthesia

  • Deep Breathing Deep breathing not only helps extubate anesthesia gas out of your system but also it affects the lungs with lung exercises so it reduces the recovery time
  • Extubating Mucus If you extubate mucus on purpose, it extubates the remaining anesthesia gas out of your body which will reduce recovery time.
